A workshop is a slower
kind of promise

LUR Bag began as the leather goods division of the LUR brand, in a room small enough that every cut could be heard from the doorway. That room is still the measure of how we work: nothing leaves unless someone here has held it, turned it, and put their name against it.
Most luxury names describe craftsmanship. We are structured around it. Leather selection, pattern design, hand-cutting, edge treatment, stitching, hardware fitting, inspection and packing all happen under one roof -- eight stages, eight sets of hands, no outsourcing in between. Vertical integration is not a supply-chain slogan here; it is the only reason we can offer artisan work at a price a working professional can actually justify.
The hide decides first
A bag is settled long before it is sewn. We hand-select full-grain, vegetable-tanned hides and cut only from the top third of each skin, following the grain direction so the piece stretches the way we intend it to and not the way the years would prefer. Brass is solid and unplated, so it dulls into character rather than flaking into disappointment. Linings are silk twill. Edges are painted, sanded and burnished six times until the seam reads as one solid piece of material.

Our own collections are drawn in-house and refreshed each season, with limited editions that end when the hide run ends. Alongside them we curate a short list of partner labels -- admitted only when their material record and finishing standards survive the same inspection sheet our own pieces face.
And because a well-made object should be repaired rather than replaced, every LUR original carries lifetime repair. Monogramming, made-to-order slots and leather care guidance are part of the same idea: ownership that lasts longer than a season, in more than thirty countries and counting.
